Police Charge Mother In Son's Fatal Stabbing
NEW YORK (CBS 2) – Police charged the mother of the Upper West Side teenager who was stabbed to death on Friday.
Investigators charged 52-year-old Yvonne Hines with manslaughter after finding Sean Hines' body on the floor of the family's apartment on West 92nd Street.
Police said the mother was in the apartment with a bloody sponge.
While police said the family had a history of violence, neighbors are still shocked.
"He was a good child. He played out here with his little friends," one woman said. "I have never seen him get in any trouble, and I've been in this building over 35 years."
