Sources told 1010 WINS' Glenn Schuck that Thomas met Salaam on the Internet. After being stabbed at 3 a.m. on a street corner, Kyanna did manage to dial 911 before she passed away.

Kyanna had been spending the weekend at her aunt's home in Brooklyn. She often did that despite residing in Rosedale, Queens.

Salaam lived on Macdougal Street -- not far from the murder scene.

Neighbors say they are relieved that an arrest has been made.
