Police Arrest 2 Bronx Teens In Attempted Screwdriver Attack
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Two Bronx teenagers have been arrested in connection with an attack on a 45-year-old subway rider.
The incident occurred Saturday afternoon on a northbound D Train at the East 170th Street and Grand Concourse station.
One of the suspects punched the victim in the face before the other suspect, who was wearing a rainbow-colored clown wig, tried to stab the victim with a screwdriver, police said.
Jay Nelson, 17, and Malik Cruz, 16, were arrested Monday in connection with the incident.
Both have been charged with assault and Cruz is also facing a menacing charge.
The victim suffered minor injuries.
