WCBS 880's Peter Haskell: While Arena Progresses, Future Of Other Towers In Doubt
Standing on what would be the floor of the Nets' new arena, Forest City Ratner's Linda Chiarelli pointed out the progress that's being made.
For the past five years, the team has been trying to make inroads in Brooklyn, or, as Yormark says, they've been seeding the brand.
"It's very important for our players to be very visible here, to be engaged, to give back," he told WCBS 880's Peter Haskell.
It's about more than basketball. "This building will host 200-plus events a year, family shows, live concerts, college basketball, boxing," says Yormark.
Yormark says tickets in this new building will be priced to sell.
While the arena is going up, the future of the sixteen residential and office towers is in doubt.
