Oil Expert Predicts Early Peak In Gas Prices

NEW YORK (WCBS 880) - Gas prices are creeping up but one oil expert says he doesn't predict prices to hit the 2008 level.

WCBS 880's Wayne Cabot spoke with oil analyst Tom Kloza who is keeping a close eye on gas prices around the country, but specifically in New Jersey he predicts motorists will pay on average $3.50-$3.75 this spring. He predicts below $3 per gallon prices later in the year.

Kloza also says the usual peak of gas prices hits about May or June, however this year we will see the peak earlier.

For those in Connecticut who are already paying an average of $3.55, you'll generally be paying more than the rest of the country because of the tax structure.

WCBS 880's Wayne Cabot spoke with Kloza about what we can expect this spring for gas prices.
