NYPD: Suspect Charged With Raping Woman Near Brooklyn College
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police say a suspect has been charged with raping a woman near Brooklyn College earlier this year.
Eric Dancy, 25, is also charged with assault, robbery, criminal sex act, sex abuse, unlawful imprisonment and other charges, police said. He was arrested on Thursday.
Back in February, police said Dancy grabbed a 22-year-old woman as she was walking to work, forced her into an alleyway and then raped her. He then tossed her cell phone over a fence so she couldn't call for help, police said.
He then took property from the woman and fled, police said.
The attack happened near East 27th Street and Glenwood Road, which is about a block away Brooklyn College, police said.
