NYPD: Man Snatches Purse From Woman Outside Bronx Supermarket
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The hunt is on for a man wanted in connection with a purse snatching in the Bronx.
The incident occurred around 12:30 p.m. on Feb. 8 outside the Foodtown located at 283 E. 204th Street.
Surveillance video released by police shows the suspect move closer to a 38-year-old woman, wait and then take the purse from her, CBS2 reported.
The woman and her dog dressed in a pink sweater can then been seen trying to chase the man.
The suspect took about $50 from the purse before tossing it, police said.
The woman was not hurt during the incident.
The suspect is described by police as a black man, approximately 5'11" tall, weighing 200 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black hooded waist length jacket, black skull cap, blue jeans and black sneakers.
