Officials: Newark Air Train Service Restored After Power Outage

NEWARK, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- Newark Airport air train services were suspended Sunday evening after a power failure, Port Authority officials said.

The trains were evacuated and buses were sent to pick up stranded passengers, according to officials.

According to New Jersey Transit, commuters can take substitute bus service from Newark - Penn, with buses making all stops at Newark Airport terminals.

PSEG said the temporary power outage was due to a "tripped power line" and that power was restored at around 7:12 p.m.
