New Jersey Couple Accused Of Breaking Into Ringwood Manor
NEW JERSEY (CBSNewYork) -- A northern New Jersey couple is facing burglary and criminal mischief charges for allegedly breaking into a historic landmark.
Ringwood Manor is an old mansion restored with valuable artifacts located on the grounds where the American Iron Company used to make material for troops in the Revolutionary War.

"It's a beautiful place, we reopened it, we have new, better security in this place, we don't want folks in and this couple from Haskell, N.J., Robert Prevete and his wife Donna Prevete, decided that they would enter the premises without asking us," said DEP spokesman Larry Ragonese.
Ragonese told WCBS 880's Levon Putney state Park Police installed video surveillance after the place was ransacked during a break-in a few years ago.
The surveillance cameras purportedly show the Prevetes inside, but "it doesn't seem they took anything," Ragonese said.
Ragonese said they're not sure what the 44-year-old man and 48-year-old woman were doing.
