Nets' Brook Lopez To Miss At Least Another Two Weeks
NEW YORK (WFAN) - Nets center Brook Lopez will miss at least another two weeks, Nets general manager Billy King told reporters at Philips Arena in Atlanta on Friday.
Lopez's right foot has not completely healed, King said.
"Brook had another CT scan, and in looking at it the doctors noticed a little line that's healing, but hasn't completely healed," King told reporters. "So we're going to keep him out for two more weeks and evaluate it then."
The former first-round pick has had a brutally difficult campaign so far in 2011-'12. The seven-footer suffered a broken bone in his right foot in the Nets' final preseason game, causing him to miss 33 of the first 34 games of the season. Shortly after returning from injury, the Stanford grad sprained his right ankle on March 4th against the Bobcats.
In his five games this season, Lopez is averaging 19.2 points per game and 3.6 rebounds per game.
