Marist Pollster Weighs In On Gov. Christie's Presidential Chances
TRENTON, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- Gov. Chris Christie is running in fourth place on the Republican line in both Iowa and New Hampshire for the 2016 presidential run.
Marist pollster Lee Miringoff says there's two ways to view the numbers.
"This is a situation that's just wide open on the Republican side of the equation," Miringoff told WCBS 880's Jim Smith. "The negative is that he's really not doing all that well."

Christie's best showing is in New Hampshire at 13 percent. Jeb Bush leads there at 18 percent.
In Iowa, the governor comes in at 9 percent, while leader Mike Huckabee stands at 17 percent.
But Christie drops down to just 6 percent in South Carolina, Smith reported. Still, Miringoff says no candidate has crossed the 20 percent mark, yet.
"Encouraging news for Christie that there's no front-runner in this at this point," he said.
On Friday, a Rutgers-Eagleton poll that was released indicated New Jersey residents have soured on Christie, with just 37 percent of registered voters saying they think favorably of him.
