Olio Pizza e Piú

The main attraction at Olio is definitely the Neapolitan-style pies; thrust into an ash-fired oven for under two minutes each, they come to the table piping hot, puffy and almost naan-like in texture. But make no mistake: topped with savory sauce and assorted toppings like smoked mozzarella, basil, or even arugula and lemon slices, each pizza is handmade with love and care. The owner, Giulio, can often be found making the pizzas himself, whipping through each expertly made pie, watching over the dining room to make sure everyone is enjoying their pizza.
L&B Spumoni Gardens
2725 86th St
Brooklyn, NY 11223

There's no two ways about it; Sicilian slices are the way to go at L&B Spumoni Gardens. A charred crust beneath the pillowy top, smeared with sauce and a sprinkle of Parmesan, each square slice is a mini departure to pizza heaven. Some may scoff that the cheese is scant here, but one bite will change your mind: perfectly balanced to the rest of the pizza, more cheese is not needed. Save some room for spumoni at the end of the meal: L&B Spumoni Gardens is famous for it.

The official pizza of the New York Mets; is there much more to say than that? Of course there is: Cascarino's brings pizza to the stadium and to locations around Queens & Long island. They also have a full Italian restaurant menu, with pastas, soups, salads, rolls, and garlic bread and everything else any good local neighborhood Italian restaurant should offer. Even better? All of their pastas have a lunch special price, making it a great deal. Snag a grandma slice to finish off your meal, and waddle away, completely sated. Official pizza of the Mets: the team's record may not satisfy, but Cascarino's certainly will!
