NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Just before the start of Major League Baseball's All-Star game on Tuesday night business owners near Citi Field protested the city's plan to shut them down.
Shop owners protested what they called a plan by the Mets and city agencies to force them out of business by issuing excessive violations.

"Outrageous amount of violations that they are giving the businesses in the Willets Point area with the only purpose, to put them out of business," Peedro Estevez told 1010 WINS reporter Gene Michaels.
About 100 repair shops and junk yards in the Willets Point development project are being evicted, CBS 2 reported.
The city, which owns the property, plans to redevelop the area.
Business owners argued that the evictions will put a lot of people out of work.
