Power Problem Briefly Halts LIRR Service Between Penn Station, Jamaica
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The Long Island Rail Road was halted for some time between Penn Station and Jamaica Friday evening due to a power problem.
Service was suspended in both directions at 8 p.m. Limited service had resumed by 8:40 p.m.
The Metropolitan Transportation Authority blamed a third rail power problem for the suspension.
