LIRR Authorities Investigate Body Found On Tracks
MINELOA, N.Y. (AP) -- Minor service disruptions are being reported on the Long Island Rail Road after a body was discovered on the tracks in Mineola.
Authorities were notified about 10:25 a.m. Monday. It was not clear how the person ended up on the tracks. The victim's gender was not identified.
LIRR spokesman Rich Mendelson says customers using the Oyster Bay branch were being offered bus service while police investigate.
