L Line Service Back To Normal After Problems This Week

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Service on the L Line subway was back to normal Saturday, after commuters were subjected to a harrowing experience earlier in the week.

On Thursday evening, the Eighth Avenue terminal was flooded with people, as L trains were delayed along the entire route due to mechanical problems between Broadway Junction and Myrtle Avenue-Wyckoff Avenue.

Signal problems continued Friday morning, with service suspended between the stops and reduced service on either side, according to DNAInfo.

As of Saturday afternoon, the MTA reported good service on the line.

The L Train runs along 14th Street in Manhattan, and is the main route for the bustling Bedford Avenue corridor in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
