Kanye West Files To Appear On New Jersey Presidential Ballot

TRENTON, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- Rapper Kanye West has taken another step in his run for the presidency.

He's filed to appear on New Jersey's ballot.

West submitted more than 1,300 signatures to New Jersey's division of election. Only 800 were needed to make the list of independent presidential candidates.

The filing shows that West doesn't have a slogan yet.

West announced his candidacy in July.
