WATCH: Comedian Jim Breuer Goes INSANE After Mets Advance To NLCS

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Comedian Jim Breuer has been documenting the Mets' season since it began, his social media posts becoming a sensation.

So the former "Saturday Night Live" cast member was naturally glued to his television on Thursday night when the Mets defeated the Dodgers in Game 5 of the National League Division Series.

Breuer posted his reaction on Facebook, and it was nothing short of epic.

Mets recap WE BEAT LA!!!!

"Come on Jeurys, come on!" he yelled at the Mets' closer before the final out was recorded.

When Familia struck out Howie Kendrick to clinch the series and advance the Mets to the National League Championship Series against the Cubs, the actor screamed with delight and began pumping his fists.

"We took you down, LA!" Breuer yelled. "Chase Utley, guess what you're chasing? Nothing! Nothing! And shame on you, Gary Cohen, for putting down Daniel Murphy! Shame on you, Gary Cohen! ... Daniel Murphy, MVP of the series!"

Breuer was referencing the SNY broadcaster's radio spot with Joe Benigno and Evan Roberts on WFAN on Wednesday, when the play-by-play man said he had "no interest" in the Mets re-signing Murphy after the season.

"How about the deGrominator?" Breuer continued, in regard to staff ace Jacob deGrom. "LA's just been deGrominated! Bye-bye, LA. Let's go Mets! One more round! Who would have thought? Who would have thought? Yeah! Let's go Mets, baby. We'll see you Saturday, Cubbies!"

Game 1 of the NLCS will be at Citi Field on Saturday. First pitch is scheduled for 8:07 p.m.
