Jewelry Designer Offers Advice To Same-Sex Couples Looking For The Perfect Wedding Rings

NEW YORK (WCBS 880) -- Many people in the gay and lesbian community have been engaged for a long time. But now that they can take the trip down the aisle, the wedding ring has to wow.

"People have definitely had marriage on their agenda for a while," said New York City jewelry designer Rony Tennenbaum. "They're definitely excited about it. They're in the midst of their planning."

Tennenbaum, who caters to the gay and lesbian community, says he has lots of couples coming in and looking for advice.

"We get a lot of people coming in with questions," he said. "Do we have to get the same? Do we not have to get the same? So I walk them through if you want to get different ones, it's perfectly okay."

But the most important part he says is living happily ever after.
