Jets Sign Carpenter, Release Cundiff To Shake Up Competition At Kicker
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The Jets announced on Tuesday that the team has cut kicker Billy Cundiff and signed former Pro Bowler Dan Carpenter.
Cundiff competed with Nick Folk before his release on Tuesday. He was signed by Gang Green on July 23.
Carpenter was named to the 2009 Pro Bowl. He was released by the Miami Dolphins on August 14. A week later, he joined the Arizona Cardinals before he was cut after just four days.
