NEW YORK (WLNY) – Music sensation and international superstar Cody Simpson stopped by The Couch to talk about headlining his first summer tour and the release of his sophomore album, "Paradise."
"I've been non-stop, especially these past six months, sort of been working on the album and I've been touring for the past year, sort of not really with much break at all," Simpson said.
The 16-year-old musician said he is enjoying the whirlwind experience and the opportunity to go on tour.
"I've always wanted to be able to go out and do something great, you know, and I think, you know, this just is the perfect opportunity to be able to just go out and see the world and just, you know, experience it all," Simpson said.
Simpson said musical genes may run in his family.
"My dad sings and plays guitar and stuff," he said. "He's a great song writer, and I think if from anyone, obviously it would come from him, and he sort of was the one who inspired me to start playing at 6 or 7."
Simpson's album is available Wednesday on iTunes and in Target.
