Homeless Pets Find 'Furever' Homes For The Holidays At 'Whiskers In Wonderland'

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Hundreds of cats, small dogs, rabbits and reptiles are available for adoption this weekend at "Whiskers In Wonderland."  The holiday pet adoption event is being presented by the Mayor's Alliance for NYC's Animals at Manhattan's Metropolitan Pavilion, 125 West 18th Street.

Admission is free and pet adoption fees are determined by each rescue organization. Adoption hours are noon to 6 p.m. on both Saturday, December 17 and Sunday, December 18.

More than two dozen Alliance Participating Organizations will be taking part in the event, which also features free activities, including a pet fashion show, a pet psychic, pet photographer, a caricaturist and a special holiday shopping boutique.  There will also be raffle prizes, and experts will be on hand with advice for potential pet parents.
