NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- One subway train has got straphangers turning their heads this holiday season.

New Yorkers can relive how people got around the city 50 years ago by taking the MTA's holiday nostalgia train.

The blast from the past is made up of subway cars that ran from the 1930's through the 1970's, WCBS 880's Todd Glickman reported Sunday.

The old-school train is restored by volunteers and runs along the M line between Second Avenue and Queens Plaza.

But if you want to catch this train you better mark your calendar, because the last time it will roll through the stations this year is Sunday, Dec. 22 between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.
