Jury In Ghislaine Maxwell Sex Trafficking Trial Begins Deliberations
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The jury in the sex trafficking trial of Ghislaine Maxwell began its deliberations Monday.
During closing arguments, defense lawyers for the one-time British socialite told the jury Maxwell is innocent of charges linked to Jeffrey Epstein.
Prosecutors slammed the notion, calling Maxwell a dangerous predator who helped Epstein abuse teenage girls.
Maxwell did not testify.
If convicted, Maxwell could face up to 80 years in prison.
