This year, local heroes who went above and beyond on behalf of New York City pets and their people in response to Superstorm Sandy will be honored.  That includes Sean Casey of Sean Casey Animal Rescue, who opened up his shelter to temporarily house pets of families who were displaced, and Debbie Fierro, a driver for the Wheels Of Hope Program of the Mayor's Alliance for NYC's Animals.  After the storm, Debbie drove into affected areas for days, providing life saving transport for displaced animals, as well as much needed food and other supplies.

Tickets to Bark In The Park are $10 and include one person and up to two dogs, with seating in the bleacher section.  On the day of the game, tickets can be purchased at the Cyclones' box office. A portion of ticket sales will be donated to support the lifesaving programs of the Mayor's Alliance for NYC's Animals, including Wheels Of Hope, which provides transportation for animals at risk of euthanasia in the city shelters to no-kill rescue organizations across the metro area.
