FDA Approves Hangover 'Remedy'

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Just in time for the holidays, the FDA approves a purported hangover remedy.

Blowfish, created in the West Village, is promised to get rid of all your hangover symptoms within 15 to 30 minutes.

"Really, it targets all of the major symptoms," said creator Brenna Haysom. "The thing that's special about is it works so quickly."

"Headache and fatigue are the things that you'll notice the most that go away. It also helps your stomach," she added.

Gary Baumgarten of 1010 WINS' spoke with several bar patrons on what they think of the hangover tablet.

"I'm actually concerned that this is going to bring a whole new breed of binge drinkers to New York and people are going to think that it's OK to go out and binge drink because there will be no ramifications in the future," Bret Golds said.

"What are the side effects? There have to be side effects," another bar patron asked.

Blowfish contains several common treatments, including aspirin, caffeine, and a stomach-soothing agent.
