Family, Friends Desperately Searching For Missing Red Bank Woman
RED BANK, N.J. (CBS 2) -- Family and friends of a missing New Jersey woman were asking the public for help in finding the 26-year-old on Friday.
It's been one week since Viridiana Beltran disappeared, and in the small, working-class community in Red Bank, posters with her picture have been taped on store windows.
Beltran's family said they're fearing the worst because it's not like Beltran to leave and not tell anyone.
"All the times she wants to go out, maybe the store or the doctor or anywhere, she's called my other cousin or me," cousin Brenda Cornejo said.
Police say Beltran was last seen Thursday night with her estranged husband, Oscar Prior-Ramirez, after leaving her job at the Siena Grill.
Friends and family were desperately looking for Beltran, who has two children, aged seven and three years old, reports CBS 2's Christine Sloan.
"Now they don't have a mother," one friend said. "She was a hard-working girl, very friendly, very outgoing."
Family members said Beltran's husband was admitted into the hospital with injuries over the weekend.
The prosecutor's office did not confirm that information, nor did they give any information on Prior-Ramirez's condition or whereabouts. They did not name him as a suspect.
Authorities said they'd searched the entire neighborhood where Beltran lived, as well as a nearby river, but that there was no sign of the 26-year-old.
The prosecutor's office said Prior-Ramirez was operating a tan 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited. They asked anyone who may have seen the two together to call them.
