VIDEO: Transformer Explosion Sparks Fire In Fair Lawn, New Jersey
FAIR LAWN, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- A transformer explosion sparked a two-alarm fire in Fair Lawn, New Jersey.
Police said it happened just after 10 a.m. Tuesday on Broadway near Zink Place.
Video taken by a man who lives nearby shows huge flames and black smoke filling the area after a power line came down and landed on a parked tanker truck, CBS2 reported.
The man who recorded the video was evacuated from his home, but has since been allowed to return.
However, he and many others in the area are now without power.
