Drivers Report Series Of Truck Burglaries Over Two Day Period In Midtown North

NEW YORK(CBSNewYork) -- The NYPD has asked the public for help in identifying and locating a suspect wanted in connection with a series of truck burglaries in Midtown North.

On the morning of February 26, a driver parked and left his truck to make a food delivery near 211 West 56th Street, locking the doors behind him. Upon returning he found that the truck had been unlocked and that items had been stolen. Another driver parked and locked his truck near 14 West 55th Street, and returned to find that the truck had been unlocked and that items had been taken.

On Friday, February 27, at 10:15 a.m. a driver parked and locked his truck near 42 West 58th Street. He left to make deliveries and found that the truck had been unlocked and that items had been stolen.

Anyone with information regarding the suspect or any of these incidents has been asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS(8477). The public can also submit tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) and entering TIP577, or by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website www.nypdcrimestoppers.com.
