Donations Triple For Putnam Boy Who Needs Surgery
BREWSTER, NY (WCBS 880) - Friends raised $8,000 for the family of Aidan Sullivan, but the money went missing.

As word spread of what seems to be a heartless heist, hearts and checkbooks have opened up and it looks like Santa Claus has won the battle against the Grinch.
The youngster suffers from a condition that requires reconstructive surgeries. He'll soon get a new ear.
In the 9-year-old's mother, Colleen, you hear gratitude and hope.
"He's starting to read. He's starting to write. He's starting to make friends," she told WCBS 880 reporter Paul Murnane. "He blew out his candles. He didn't blow out his candles until after his pharyngeal flap surgery. He didn't blow out his candles for seven years."
Insurance often does not cover the specialized care that Aidan requires. The out-of-pocket expenses have been huge.
The Journal News says that, so far, $28,000 in donations has come in.
