Fireworks Over Hudson River Mark Eve Of Diwali
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- There was a big celebration on the eve of Diwali in New York.
Fireworks lit the sky over the Hudson River on Wednesday night.
The five-day Festival of Lights begins Thursday and will be celebrated by more than 1 billion people worldwide.
New York Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney introduced a bill in Washington to make Diwali a federal holiday.
