Delta Air Lines Says Rising Fuel Costs Hurting Profits

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - Americans are paying more for fuel these days, and so are the airlines.

Delta Air Lines says that's one reason its 2nd quarter profits will be lower than originally projected.

Delta says it paid about 6 percent more for fuel than in the previous quarter as the price of oil climbed.

U.S. crude prices hit $75 a barrel on Tuesday for the first time since 2014.
