Darrelle Revis Reacts To Trade Rumors: 'I Need Answers And I'm Not Getting Any'

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Darrelle Revis had quite a bit to say about being rendered speechless by reports the Jets were going to attempt to trade him during the offseason.

"I was speechless; I tweeted it out I was speechless," Revis told Andrea Kremer of the NFL Network in a previously taped interview. "I was speechless because I didn't get a phone call. I know it's a business – just call me; don't have it lingering out there. I need answers and I'm not getting any. Just the fact that that was put out there instead of contacting your best player on the team. If that's how you want to do business, then that's fine."

Revis' remarks will be aired on the network at 7 p.m. Monday.

The 27-year-old -- widely considered the NFL's top cornerback -- has been rehabbing from a torn ACL suffered early in the 2012 season.

New Jets GM John Idzik has been tight-lipped about the status of his players, including Revis.

Idzik told WFAN radio last month that he was "surprised" by the trade speculation "because we really hadn't had any in-depth discussions — still haven't."

"We're still in the midst of evaluating our roster and assembling a coaching staff and doing some of the initial moves. So I was taken aback by that," Idzik said on the "Boomer & Carton" show. "But I called Darrelle just to make sure he knew exactly what was going on from our end, and it was good to talk to him. I thought it was well-received."

But did Revis get the answers he was looking for?

Stay tuned.
