Community Remembers Huntington Residents Who Died On 9/11

HUNTINGTON, NY (WCBS 880) -- There was a solemn ceremony Saturday in on Long Island to remember those lost on September 11th.

At Hecksher Park, there was a moment of silence, remarks and prayers to remember the 43 residents of Huntington who perished on 9/11.

Patricia Edwards lost her husband Dennis.

"Loved kids and family, a real people person," said Edwards. "We have one daughter, Alexa. She is 12 now. It gets harder because she and her friends have more questions."

Linda Cavalier remembers her son Judd, who was 26-years old.

"He loved life, his job and his family," she said. "We miss him every minute of every single day."
