CFL? AFL? Detroit Lions? Few Options For Tim Tebow After Jets Breakup

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Does Tim Tebow have a future in the National Football League?

The unorthodox quarterback was released by the Jets on Monday, ending New York's short-lived and drama-filled Tebow experiment. Take a quick jog around the Twitterverse and you'll get the impression that finding a job -- at least in the NFL -- won't be easy for the 25-year-old.

The Philadelphia Eagles, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, San Francisco 49ers, Chicago Bears and Jacksonville Jaguars are among the teams uninterested in adding the backup QB, according to various reports.

Tebow was reportedly given the go-ahead by New York to seek a trade during the offseason. "More than one team" asked if he would play tight end, but the quarterback wasn't willing to switch to the position, tweeted Adam Schefter of ESPN.

KEIDEL: GOOD-GUY TIM DIDN'T DESERVE JETS

Even the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League don't sound too excited by the prospect of Tebow Time.

What about the Arena Football League?

That could be a winner. Predators owner Brett Bouchy told the Orlando Sentinel last month that his team has "a contract waiting" for Tebow.

"Tim would certainly want to first exhaust his opportunities in the NFL, but we'd love to have him," Bouchy told the paper.

And hey, there's always the Detroit Lions.
