Jerry Recco got us up to date on the World Series, which is even at one game apiece after the Cards' 4-2 win over the Red Sox last night in Boston. Carlos Beltran played, went 2-4 with an RBI and afterwards offered up a contradiction. Recently retired Mariano Rivera was honored at Fenway and joked about a comeback in the National League.
With the 4-3 Jets preparing to take on the 5-2 Bengals in Cincinnati, Jerry provides some preview audio and does the same thing for the Giants-Eagles matchup. Boomer talks about how Santonio Holmes reminds him of his old teammate Carl Pickens, which wasn't necessarily a good thing.
Plus, the Carolina Panthers got Week 8 started with a 31-13 win over the Buccaneers and the hot water Greg Schiano is currently in just got a little hotter. Carmelo Anthony has a talk with J.R. Smith, Rangers and Devils both lose again...
