Before getting to Jerry Recco's first update of the morning, Boomer & Craig reflected on yesterday's NYC Marathon, as "Team Boomer" was well represented.
Then Jerry got his update started with the Jets' unlikely 26-20 win over the Saints. Well it was unlikely unless you listened to Craig's preview of the game on Friday's radio program -- nailed it!!!
Not generally one that allows himself to enjoy a victory completely -- or anything for that matter -- Craig took issue with Jets GM John Idzik making his presence felt on the sidelines in the closing minutes. Boomer advised his radio partner to stop trying to stir things up and just revel in the win.
Plus, Jerry ran down the rest of the NFL Week 9 finals, including a gritty win by the Chiefs to remain undefeated and a record-tying performance from Eagles quarterback Nick Foles, who tossed seven touchdown passes against the Raiders. Broncos head coach John Fox needs heart surgery, while Texans head coach Gary Kubiak collapsed at halftime of his team's game against the Colts. And the Miami Dolphins are dealing with some in-house bullying.
Finally, both the Knicks and the Nets lost. The Knicks fell to the Timberwolves at the transformed MSG and the Nets traveled down to Orlando to get their whoopin'...
