Jerry Recco's football Friday update began with Jets head coach Rex Ryan talking about sex, wide receiver Santonio Holmes getting snippy with the media and rookie defensive tackle Sheldon Richardson putting Tom Brady on blast -- he plans on making the Pats QB very uncomfortable. The Jets will host the Patriots this Sunday at MetLife Stadium.
Switching gears to the Giants, they will play the Vikings on Monday night at the aforementioned MetLife Stadium. Prior to the game Craig is planning a big ol' tailgate party, complete with a 75-pound pig to roast. As for Tom Coughlin, he has not even entertained the thought of benching his quarterback Eli Manning, not even for a quarter.
Plus, the Seahawks improved to 6-1 after beating the Cardinals (3-4) 34-22 last night in Arizona, Knicks beat the Wizards, Nets retire Jason Kidd's No. 5, Red Sox bested the Tigers 4-3 to take a 3-2 lead in the ALCS, NLCS Game 6 tonight in St. Louis between the Dodgers and Cards, Nolan Ryan resigns as Texas Rangers CEO and finally some news from the NHL (as if anyone really cares)...
