Jerry's Update
In this segment, we began things with Boomer praising the work television journalist Maria Bartiromo upon learning about her new gig with Fox News and 'The' Eddie Scozzare doing his best to make things awkward with his button-pushing prowess (mission accomplished).
After that, Boomer and Craig had themselves some fun while discussing the apparent 'secret dinner meeting' with Jay Z, Jeff Wilpon and Sandy Alderson. The reported reason for the meeting was to discuss the possibility of the Mets landing the free-agent prize that is Robinson Cano. Craig finds that notion laughable, so with that said he began rapping about the comical, unlikely concept -- while Boomer laughed along.
Eventually Jerry Recco got to delivering his update, which began with a recap of the Panthers 24-20 win over the Patriots, which closed the book on Week 11, but opened a 'Pandora's Box' with regards to the NFL officiating after game ended on a very controversial no-call.
Plus, the Jets announce that Geno Smith is their starter Sunday against the Ravens, Sunday's Cowboys-Giants game has the feel of an NFC Championship game according to Craig (Boomer disagrees) and will be a high-scoring affair. The Nets lose again, this time to the Trail Blazers, Knicks tip off tonight with the Pistons in Detroit looking to right their ship and some news from the NHL for those of you who actually care...
