Boomer & Carton: Craig Diminishes Eli's Accomplishments
Maybe he was looking to ruffle some feathers, or perhaps he was just expressing his opinion.
Craigie went out of his way this morning to diminish Eli Manning's career accomplishments by looking closely at two plays in particular -- David Tyree's fourth-quarter circus catch in Super Bowl XLII (pictured) and Mario Manningham's crucial 38-yard reception on the game-winning drive during Super Bowl XLVI. And he suggested that the Giants' quarterback might be a bit overrated.
Boomer, of course, disagreed with his radio partner's suggestion with regard to Eli, but did allow himself to imagine for a minute how his life might be different had he beaten Joe Montana and the 49ers in Super Bowl XXIII, gleefully pointing out that he would not be sitting next to Craigie.
