An Update And Some Ideas For The Mets' 2014 Slogan

Jerry warmed up prior to his first update by belting out a few lines of the timeless classic, "The Good Ship Lollipop," because, well, he has that kind of range.

With his pipes primed and his range established, the update maven did his thing and delivered an informative and entertaining update, which wasn't an easy task after a rather uneventful Tuesday night of sports action with regard to locals.

Thankfully, though, we always have the Knicks and the Mets.

Jerry documented all of the nonsense which occurred yesterday with regard to the Knicks, as Mike Woodson and Amar'e Stoudemire have vastly different views on Stoudemire's health status.  In addition to that, Woodson apparently doesn't hold Carmelo Anthony in the same high regard he holds Joe Johnson, who hit countless game-winners for him while the two were in Atlanta -- so there's that.

Plus, Damian Lillard hit a game-winner for the Portland Trail Blazers, the Manhattan Jaspers won again and Southern Illinois head basketball coach Barry Hinson put his players on blast after a loss. The Yankees sign second baseman Brian Roberts and lefty reliever Matt Thornton, and Mets GM Sandy Alderson wishes fans "happy holidays" and implores them to "think about the possibilities..."

Alderson's advice caused Craig to perk up, and next thing you know we had a whole host of clever slogans, each one fitting for the 2014 New York Mets...
