After a weekend that saw the Mets take a commanding 2-0 lead over the Cubs in the NLCS and the Jets improve to 4-1 after beating down the Redskins, the Giants failed to keep up their end of the bargain Monday night.
Eli Manning and the rest of the Giants wrapped up Week 6 down in Philly with a matchup against the Eagles and a chance to create some distance for themselves in the NFC East. Early on, it looked like that might actually happen, but after the Giants took an early lead, Chip Kelly's crew scored 27 unanswered points, leaving Big Blue dumbfounded and, eventually, in a tie with Philly atop the division.
Boomer was in Philadelphia calling the game for Westwood One and admitted to being at a loss for words at times. Meanwhile, Craig said he was disgusted as he watched from his home and found himself wondering why Eli makes so much money.
It wasn't all negative Tuesday morning, however. The Mets will have Jacob deGrom on the mound in Game 3 of the NLCS at Wrigley Field on Tuesday night and that has to make New Yorkers, especially those who root for the Mets, feel pretty good.
So we had a Giant debacle in Philly, a wonderful chance for the Mets in Chicago, a sleep-deprived Blonde Bomber and all of the antics you've come to expect and love.
