NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - The bodies of two women were found floating in the Hudson River Wednesday afternoon.
Police say the bodies were bound with duct tape, and both were fully clothed.
They were found at 2:39 p.m. near Riverside Boulevard and West 71st Street on the Upper West Side, according to the FDNY.
The cause of death was not immediately known pending review by the medical examiner.
The sources believe the women may have jumped from the George Washington Bridge as part of a suicide pact, with their bodies eventually making their way down river where they were pulled around 5 p.m.
"It's scary, this is supposed to be a good neighborhood where you should feel safe," one Upper West Side resident told CBS2.
The identities of the women are being withheld pending notification of families.
