Brooklyn Bridge Park is always fun to visit just for its waterfront views of the city, wonderful gardens and great promenades to stroll. This summer also brings an exciting interactive exhibit for kids of all ages. The Jeppe Hein: Please Touch the Art exhibit is on display from May 17 until April 17, 2016 every day from 6 to 1 a.m. Three different works are on display for all to view, play and have fun with. "Appearing Rooms" are four "rooms" formed together in a grid by walls of water fountains that shoot up and then drop to disappear. When the water drops, jump inside to be surrounded by the water walls as the fountains spring up again. Enjoy a stroll through a circular sculpture garden maze of stainless steel rectangular towers of various heights, polished to a mirror finish to reflect the landscape as well as visitors. The 16 artistic benches lend a moment for guests to rest and discuss the art they are sitting upon.

The little ones can get a hands-on thrill visiting the wonderful Brooklyn Museum with the Arty Facts program. Created specifically for kids aged from 4 to 7 years old, the program teaches an appreciation of creating artwork themselves. Two separate 90-minute sessions at 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. meet on Sundays, inviting the youngsters to create their own works of art. Every visit will bring new excitement with changing themes based on different museum exhibits. Before the Arty Fact fun, visit the museum with the kids to gather inspiration and insight.

Part of the fun of being a kid is playing games. The Staten Island Children's Museum understands that, and provides kid-centric excitement with a hands-on exhibit of super-sized games with their "Big Game" exhibit. Kids will learn and enjoy playing old-fashioned games with life-size chess pieces, humongous Dominoes as well as traditional Checkers, Connect Four and ball toss -- all super sized for enhanced fun. Kids are invited to get creative building their own log cabin as well.

Along with regularly changing exhibits, the Children's Museum of the Arts has an ongoing permanent collection of more than 2,000 pieces of artwork created by children from over 50 countries, dating as far back as the 1930s. This 19,000-square-foot space is dedicated to introducing kids to the exciting world of math with interactive exhibits. Learning can be very enjoyable for kids of all ages as they ponder the amazing world of mathematics outside of the classroom and in a stimulating environment. Included in the ongoing exhibits is the new Robot Swarm exhibit, with cool colorful robots that actually communicate and engage as they follow and run away from another robot walking across the floor. The glowing colors will mesmerize the little ones.
