Al Dukes puts pen to paper and comes up with a new Mike Pelfrey song yesterday, then 'Big Pelf' goes out and pitches a gem and the Mets beat Ubaldo 'Freakin' Jimenez and the Rockies 1-0. Mariano Rivera blows a save in a regular season game for only the 18th time in his illustrious career, which led to a 4-3 loss to the Rangers and the Yanks saw their lead over the Rays in the AL East trimmed to just ½ a game. Plenty of talking points there indeed, but the guys focus was squarely on the situation in Jets camp regarding Darrelle Revis' contract negotiations. Yesterday Revis' agent Neil Schwartz came out and called Jets owner Woody Johnson a liar. Seems to me like a line has been drawn in the sand and like Craig said, things are sure to get even uglier before they get better. Boomer and Craig discuss the many layers of this ongoing saga and both of them sided with the Woody Johnson and the Jets…

During Jerry's first update of the Program, Boomer took great joy issuing a warning to Yankee fans about their aging closer, who blew a save last night in Texas. Then we heard from Mets Manager Jerry Manuel, who seemed a bit perplexed about the buildup of moisture on Mike Pelfrey's hands and how to remedy the problem. After Jerry was through, Craig mentioned a video he saw on DeadSpin.com of a fight on the streets of Boston. Our old friend Incarcerated Bob called in this morning and he was not too happy with Darrelle Revis. He said that he should man-up and that Woody Johnson should give the fourth year cornerback an ultimatum. Boomer took it one step further and said if the Jets really want to send a message to Revis, they should give contract extensions to both Nick Mangold and David Harris sooner rather than later. It is the 7th installment of the reality sports documentary series, and this year they have decided to chronicle the training camp of the New York Jets.
