B&C Morning Show: Updating Another AL East Crown And More

Jerry Recco's first update of the morning began with a thorough recap of the Yankees' 14-2 win over the Red Sox in their final game of the season.  Before the game concluded, the Yanks already knew their fate thanks to a 4-1 loss by the Orioles to the Rays, but that certainly didn't detract from the celebration after the final out was recorded.

Jerry provided a plethora of play-by-play and postgame sound.  Craig even took some time out to imagine how Suzyn Waldman might have handled the excitement in the locker room following the win.  The Yanks will play either the Rangers or the Orioles on Sunday and hope to see Robinson Cano's hot bat stay that way.  Cano is 24 of his last 39, including a 4-4, 2 HR, 6 RBI night in the regular season finale.  His teammate Alex Rodriguez is just lookin' forward to playing in October.

Plus, the Mets finish the season with 74 wins, after a 4-2 win over the Marlins, Rex Ryan won't say his team quit against the 49ers, but does admit they got fatigued.  While at Giants camp, Eli Manning reveals that he pays little mind to opponents win/loss record and his head coach Tom Coughlin is just lookin' to get things right..
