B&C Morning Show: Rex Ryan, Jets Make A Statement
After falling behind by 11 points, the Jets shut out the San Diego Chargers in the second half on Sunday afternoon. And when the final gun sounded, New York had managed a 27-21 victory over the Bolts.
With the win, Rex's Gang Green improved to 4-3 and will enter their Week 8 bye on a high note.
Craig the Jets fan was grinning from ear-to-ear after the statement win and Boomer said he had every reason to be. The Jets answered a lot of questions and now have to be taken seriously, as they have re-emerged after losing 3 in a row.
Plaxico Burress found the end zone on three separate occasions and Shonn Greene eclipsed the 100-yard mark (20 carries for 112 yards).
Jim Nantz and Phil Simms had the call of the game on CBS, which is always an entertaining listen.
The Jets' comeback was aided by some questionable decisions by Philip Rivers down the stretch, but I guess you could contribute that to the Jets' defense, which was rather stout in the second half.
So today's football Monday edition of the 'Morning Extravaganza' was all about the Green & White...
