B&C Morning Show: Keith Hernandez Has The Mets Covered; His Upper Lip Is Another Story
Keith Hernandez called in to chat with Boomer & Craig early this morning before he made his way to Citi Field for the Mets' Opening Day matchup with the San Diego Padres.
Hernandez -- along with his old teammate Ron Darling and Gary Cohen -- will once again be in the SNY booth this season, and he began his conversation with the guys talking about Mets first baseman Ike Davis. Ike is looking to begin 2013 a lot better than his 2012 campaign started.
Hernandez likes what he has seen from pitching prospect Zack Wheeler, and he understands why the Mets are handling him in the manner in which they are. He sympathizes with Johan Santana, is an apparent fan of the book "50 Shades of Grey," and he informed us that his mustache is off for good. He also says that if the Mets play .500 ball this year, that will be a good season...
