B&C Morning Show: Joba Flashbacks; Blueshirts' Struggles; Mets-Amway Union
After completing an inning of spring-training work down in Clearwater, Joba Chamberlain made his desire to be a starter again, or perhaps a closer, audible. Like Brian Cashman and Joe Girardi, Boomer & Craig found this laughable.
One thing Boomer is not laughing about these days is his beloved Blueshirts, after they fell to the Winnipeg Jets, 4-3, last night at the Garden. Craig declares that we are "in the middle of a collapse of epic proportions' before going on to rip head coach John Tortorella and referring to the Rangers as a joke. Boomer didn't have much of a defense, other than saying that the stars aren't living up to their billing and that he expects them to turn things around.
Then it was on to the Mets. They struck a deal with Amway, making Citi Field the home of the only Amway storefront in America. Considering some of the history surrounding the "multinational direct selling company," Boomer & Craig were understandably a little suspicious about the union...
