B&C Morning Show: Jets Name Sanchez Their Guy, For Now
Boomer and Craig opted to set the circus that surrounds Alex Rodriguez, and the struggles that continue to consume the Yankees, aside this morning when opening up this Wednesday edition of the Morning Extravaganza. They chose rather to focus their collective attention on the Jets, after they made the announcement that Mark Sanchez will get the start this Friday night in Detroit when Gang Green kicks off its preseason against the Lions.
This decision means that rookie signal caller Geno Smith will be Sanchez's backup, for now anyway -- which means that we have a "quarterback controversy," my friends.
Eventually, the Dynamic Radio Duo did get around to talking about the Yankees, specifically Robinson Cano, as he has had a difficult time filling the void in the absence of his injured Yankees teammates -- especially since returning from the All-Star break. Does Cano, a free agent at the end of the season, deserve the mega-deal that he'll be looking for from the Yanks?
